The Hackney Film Festival is an independent event celebrating the work of Hackney residents and Hackney based artists. Our goal is simple: to provide a platform for local film makers to have their work screened in front of an audience of fellow film heads. Screening of films will be held at venues across Hackney, including the Rio Cinema and The Drop on the weekend of 18/19th September and will culminate in an evening at The Others showcasing the most innovative local audio visual talent.
